New release: Bulgari’s Goldea

Got something new for you guys! So today saw the official release of Bulgari’s new Goldea eau de parfum, part of a new collection. This is the first fragrance in what should be another series of perfumes, similarly to Omnia.

It’s always hard to review perfume without being able to actually try it out. But I’ll do the best I can for you. I’m that typa gal. Here we go.

So here’s the full scope of products I scored today. Since it was launch day, everyone received a complimentary shower gel and body lotion with a purchase. When I came home and emptied out my goodie bag, I also found a miniature version of Goldea (yay!) and a little piece of soap with a very strong, very nice fragrance to it.

Goldea by Bulgari Collection
My Goldea collection, including goodies.

So since this is an eau de parfum, it’s a pretty intense fragrance. To me, it really smells like luxury. So I guess for Bulgari, that’s mission accomplished. In their own description it’s A tribute to gold and femininity inspired by the golden goddess of beauty and sun. Sounds glorious, huh?

Goldea Jewel Charms
The Jewel Charms Collection bottle. Pretty, innit?

Upon first application it smells so very sweet thanks to notes of amber and raspberry. Honestly, I love it.

After it dries down a little bit, the first super sweetness starts to fade a little bit and the musk comes out a lot better. Also, ylang-ylang and jasmine come through and give it elegance.

I have to wait and see what the base notes bring, I will update this post as soon as I know more.

So I can’t tell you much yet about longevity, but sillage is pretty strong (on me). The most important thing for you to remember when choosing perfume is to go try it out on your skin first. Let it dry down. Smell what happens. It has happened to me that on a swatch stick I loved a fragrance, but on my skin it smelled like dirty dishwater. True story.
