Essie’s 1000th shade: Aim to Misbehave

Hey all. I got something special for you today. Essie released its 1000th shade. Yeah. That many. And I’m here with swatches and a review for ya!

So this color is part of the Shimmer Brights 2016 collection. Now, I love me some shimmer and I love me some bright colors. And of course I’m a sucker for special editions.

So on to the important stuff: the review. I gotta say, I was a little unsure about getting this polish at first. I mean, it’s a yellow. How many yellow polishes do you have? Exactly. But after trying it I have to say: I love it. It’ll probably look better on some skintones than others though, as yellow tends to be.

On the first coat it’s of course terribly patchy and somewhat streaky, but if you let it set for a minute it’ll even out nicely. Add your second coat and you get this pretty result right here:

Essie’s Aim to Misbehave – two coats, no top coat

As you can see there’s still some visible nail line after two coats, but you can always add a third coat for good measure. I really wish the camera would show off the shimmer better than it does, but oh well. Here’s another look at it:

I feel so summery now. I think I really, really like this shade. What are your thoughts?
